NIGERIAN WOMEN AGRO ALLIED FARMERS ASSOCIATION.

                                                                 RC 42413

The name NIWAAFA represents the NIGERIAN WOMEN AGRO ALLIED FARMERS ASSOCIATION, comprising of all women farmers in both agro cropping, processing, fishery and marketing.

The association was formed in the year 2006 by four women farmers from the major tribes of Nigeria, South South, southeast, south west and north central.

These women have had various challenges as Farmers, ranging from lack of appropriate land for sustainable Agriculture to, lack of funds for acquisition of improved seed, tools and Labor.

This association therefore was formed to reach out and coordinate these women, train and inform them of easier ways of modern Agriculture, sensitize them on farm management and integrated farming. In addition, build their capacity for accessing micro credits to increase their farms and growth towards better and sustainable Agriculture.

Current membership is at above 5000 women farmers from across Nigeria.
